Kiches’s name means ‘sky spirit’ in American Indian.
Kiche weighs over 71/2 lbs and is very grumpy in the morning when I wake him up.
The term ‘bald’ comes from the old meaning of white – referring to the white head he will have when he gets his mature plumage at about 7 years old.
